The ark was massive! 450 feet long-if you get chance go for a walk and take about 150 good size steps-that is how long the ark was!
Noah did everything just as God commanded him-please God help me to do everything just as you command me. Not to do the things I want to do, or I think need doing. But the things which you cammnd me. And help me to do them JUST as you say, not in my way.

I lie down and sleep-it isn't always the case. I and others find at times of trouble and worry we don't sleep. We need to come to God at these times and ask him to help us sleep so that we are sustained.
I find it fascinating that we all pick up different things...
ReplyDeleteI'd never noticed before that Cain, worker of the soil, built a city - was it the first one?
And he had another brother, Seth... I wonder how they related? Then loads of babies before... at that time men began to call on the Lord... why then? Why not before that? I mean, after Adam and Eve were kicked out of Eden did God break contact? The sons still brought offerings! Did it have to do with Cain being 'hidden from God's presence'?
Matthew reading - two OT prophecies, one about the coming Saviour - a Nazarene, and one about the preparation for him... it's back to the King thing again.
I'd have loved to have been there, watched people's reactions. How would people react if Jesus returned today?
