Genesis 32:1-33:20
Jacob seems to feel bad for what he did to Esau and looking for forgiveness.
Jacob wrestles with God, he holds onto God until he is blessed. In pray we need wrestle with God, not always just a quick 'bish bash bosh' prayer.
Matthew 12:22-45
Either you are with God, or against God. In everything we do we should be for God; what we say, what we think, what we don't say.
We need to store good things up in us.
The fruit that we bear will depend on what is on the inside of us.
Proverbs 2:1-11
Accept God's words, store up His commands, listen to wisdom, call out for insight, cry out loud for understanding, search for hidden treasure.
Okay, am back on board...

Never struck me before, that in all this wandering, Joseph was being hauled along with the family...
When Jacob is afraid, he prays and clings on to God's promise (numerous descendents)... do we turn to God when we're afraid/worried/undecided or do we try and sort it out for ourselves first?
Matthew 12:22-45
I find those first few verses quite challenging, because it seems to me it's saying about divided loyalties ... do we serve God or man? It's hard!! We have to choose - God's way, all the way, is the best option.
Proverbs 2:1 - 11
If we ask God for these things, He will grant us wisdom and understanding ... so let's ask Him!!
